Special holday weekend deal. Rent 8/23 to 9/1 for $1750. Our cottage is located 326 steps from the beautiful private beach on Nantucket Sound in the private Popponesset Community of New Seabury. The cottage is a well kept, 3 bedroom ranch that includes a full kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area, living room, large three-season room, outdoor shower, and washer and dryer for easy beach clean-up. The house sleeps 7 with 2 Queen beds, 3 twin beds as well as we have two full size pull-out couches (sleeps 11 max). The outside shower has easy accessibility from each of the 3 bedrooms. There is a patio located off the kitchen with a gas grille and patio furniture for convenient dining. The kitchen contains a toaster, microwave, dishwasher and your entire kitchen needs. We have a great size private yard, and a screened in porch to hang out on summer days and nights. If staying off-season we have gas fireplace and forced hot air for heating. We have everything you need and great local amenities for a fabulous vacation. Popponesset is a wonderful family neighborhood where generations have summered. A 10 minute walk brings you to the popular but private 'spit' (a sandy peninsula) with the bay beach on one side and the ocean beach on the other. The community center is a haven for kids (structured activities, playground, ball fields, basketball, rainy day activities, dances, etc.). On the other side of the neighborhood is the marketplace with casual dining, live entertainment, mini golf, bike rentals, shops, general store, raw bar, etc. (Check out their website at www.popponessetmarketplace.com). Just across the street from there is the Popponesset Inn for waterfront casual or fine dining. There's also a pond within walking distance for freshwater fishing. Hop back in your car for a quick ride (3 miles) to the Cape's favorite shopping destination the Mashpee Commons. Here you'll find popular shops, restaurants, movie theater, pub, wine bar, Starbucks, etc. A public boat ramp, golf, island ferries, etc., are all close by. Please no pets or smokers.
