Lakefront cottage near Mystic and Foxwoods (Mystic/Ledyard) $950 2bd This is a perfect place for family fun on the water with swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, exploring nature with children, and sunsets. It is also a place for relaxing and enjoy dinner or a drink or a peaceful sunset overlooking the lake. Waterskiing and speed boats are not allowed so this makes it better for swimming and very quiet and peaceful. The lake is just 5-10 minutes inland from the mystic seaport area and several minutes onto a less developed back road. It feels like a getaway. At night, one could sleep on the screened porch and listen to the bullfrogs sing. We supply the kayaks, canoes, water toys and children's fishing poles and nets, and a wooden raft. This cottage sleeps up to 8 people. There 2 bedrooms plus a pullout sofa in the living room. A large screened porch for has 2 beds and plenty of room for breakfast. This cottage was built in the early 1900s and has a rustic summer cottage feel. The kitchen comes fully equipped with dishes and appliances so just bring your food to have a meal in the dining room or screen porch. FOXWOODS: you would never know it when you're at the lake, but Foxwoods casino is just 5 minutes away also. So it is easy to bring your group down to the all you can eat buffet, or adults could go back and forth to see a show, other entertainment or gambling. You may just want to stay here at the lake all week, but this is smack in the middle of summer tourist central: 5 min to Foxwoods, 10 min to Mystic, 20 min to New London, 20 min to Mohegan Sun, 30 min to Rhode Island's beautiful beaches.
