Rustic lakefront cabin near Mystic & Foxwoods (Mystic/Ledyard) $750 1bd A place for relaxing and enjoy dinner or a drink by the fire pit overlooking the lake. Waterskiing and speed boats are not allowed so this makes it better for swimming and very quiet and peaceful. This is also a perfect place for family fun on the water with swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, or exploring nature with children. If you bring your dog he can jump right in the water off the bank and climb back out. The lake is just 5-10 minutes inland from the mystic seaport area and several minutes onto a less developed back road. We supply your choice of kayaks or canoes, water toys and children's fishing poles and nets. There is a sleeping loft with 3 twins plus 2 twins/trundle beds in living room. Plus a screened porch. This cabin was built in the early 1900s and has a rustic summer cabin feel. The kitchen comes equipped with dishes, microwave, refrigerator and griddle. There is a charcoal and gas grill on the patio. FOXWOODS: you would never know it when you're at the lake, but Foxwoods casino is just 5 minutes away also. So it is easy to bring your group down to the all you can eat buffet, or adults could go back and forth to see a show, other entertainment or gambling. You may just want to stay here at the lake all week: 5 min to Foxwoods, 10 min to Mystic, 20 min to New London, 20 min to Mohegan Sun, 30 min to Rhode Island's beautiful beaches.
