Grill out and enjoy the picnic table on the deck. 3 - Best value 2nd row house - there are houses just down from this one that rent for $5000 per week (and are also on Craig's List). Fun and inexpensive things to do: 1 - NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, 2 - Aquarium has sea turtle trips, nature trips, etc 3 - shops on the island and off, 4 - easy day trip by ferry to the light houses of Ocracoke/Boddie Island/Corrolla, Kitty Hawk and the Wright Brothers Museum, 5 - go to Hammocks Beach State Park (a remote, state owned beach with a free ferry to get there) with INCREDIBLE SHELLS (find whole sand dollars to take home), learn about Blackbeard the Pirate and tour Beaufort, only 20 minutes away, 7 - 45 minutes to Tryon Palace, New Bern, 8 - Military Buff? 45 minutes to see military exhibits at both Havelock and Jacksonville. And, of course, THE BEACH IS ONLY 30 STEPS AWAY! This house has booked completely every year for the last 5 years so if there is a week you want you may not want to wait.
