Some of the best trout fishing around is a couple minutes down the road at the Tuckaseegee River. Other nearby adventures include rafting/kayaking on the Nantahala River, the Great Smoky Mountain Express (running right through downtown Bryson City), and mountain biking on the Tsali trails.
