This is a brand-new Lindell Home completed May 2008 at 3600 feet elevation. It features upscale appliances and amenities. There is a wrap-around deck on the main floor that is perfect for lounging in the sun during the day or enjoying the chorus of sounds at night. Imagine sitting for hours with the one you love just listening to the sound of the wind through the trees, enjoying a hike in the woods or just reading that book you havent had the time to read. If you want company, Franklin is 15 minutes away. Incorporated in 1855, Franklin has unparalleled scenic beauty, a slower pace of life and the friendliest people you will meet. You can pick up anything you will need in town and then return to your retreat. Vacation Rental Amenities The bottom floor has a garage to park your vehicle in, then walk-up the stairs into the kitchen or a circular drive where you can walk into the living room. There are authentic Oriental Rugs through out the house and pine ceilings in the main areas. Built in 2008 this home features a cooks paradise. The kitchen has gas appliances with a five-burner stove/oven, convection microwave, one vegetable sink, and another double sink with pull-out sprayer, seperate water filtration system and garbage disposal, granite countertops with a bar area with bar stools for chatting with loved ones when youre making that meal youve always wanted to prepare, upscale cookware, dinnerware and stemware. All stainless appliances including dishwasher complement the hardwood floors and serenely covered walls. There is a whole-house filtration system. While you are cooking you can feel the gentle cooling breeze from the mountains and look out the window overlooking the valley. There is also a gas BBQ grill on the deck if you want a home-cooked meal without the hassle. It also features a walk-in pantry for storage of all your food items purchased in Franklin. This floor also features a full bath, bedroom with digital satellite TV, pillow-top queen bed with upscale linens and walk-in closet. There is also a blow-up queen bed with air pump in the closet if needed. The living room features one leather rocker/recliner and a leather double-reclining loveseat to watch the 42 digital satellite TV in front of the wall of windows that look out towards the forest. Walk up the stairs to get to the master bedroom, bathroom and separate lounging area with 12-bottle wine cooler. The bedroom features double closets and a king bed with upscale linens. You will definitely want to take a shower in the master bath with its double-headed shower, marble lined walls, and glass door. The vanity is one-of-a kind made from 100 yr old slow-grown pine. The second floor 9 foot x 11 foot seperate lounging area is the highest place in the house for the best view of the mountains at the 3600 foot elevation. This is the perfect home for vacationers with allergies. There are only 4 rugs, no carpet, no draperies, no smoking and no pets. Please be considerate of other vacationers and keep this home as it appeared when you arrived. Activities and Attractions Franklin has a lot to offer. Here is a condensed listing: Pickin on the Square is a collection of local talent. It includes guitars, drums, Cloggers, Buck Dancing, steel drums and banjos. Best of all it is FREE on Saturday nights in the downtown square. The Factory is located in Franklin and includes bowling, miniature golf, go-carts, arcade games, laser tag, merry-go-round, a pizza parlor and a fine dining restaurant. Franklin is known as the Gem Capital of the World. You can mine for your own gems. Everyone enjoys the time they spent looking for a sapphire, ruby or emerald to call their very own. Franklin is home to the Little Tennessee River Greenway. One of more than a thousand such trails that snake their way across Americas old canals, abandoned railbeds and forgotten riverbanks. You can bike or walk 4 miles along the paved Greenway located in Franklin. The Great Smoky Mt. Railroad is a 53 mile ride consisting of mountain views, bridges and tunnels. It is located in Dillsboro which is 20 minutes from Franklin. Whistle Stop in Franklin houses more than 20 retail stores, 60,000 sq. feet of antiques, 17,000 sq. feet of hand-made crafts from artisans and casual restaurants. Within a 60 minute drive you will find: Nantahala Outdoor Center Beginning & Intermediate White Water rafting Cherokee Indian Reservation Highlands, Cashiers, Dillsboro and Sylva for antiquing Cherokee Resort and Casino If you ride motorcycles, you can choose the Blue Ridge Parkway or the Smoky Mountain National Park. Either of these rides will offer an exhilaration beyond words. Atlanta, GA is two hours to the South while Asheville, NC is one hour to the West. Vacation Rental Rates Year Round: $125.00 per night / $725.00 per week / $2800.00 per month $1000.00 seperate deposit required that will be returned within 14 of departure provided there is no damage. This includes evidence of pets or smoking inside the home. $60.00 cleaning fee for all stays less than 4 days. No additional fees except tax. Payment accepted by cash, check, traveler's check or cashier's check with a copy of a valid Driver's License and received 14 days prior to arrival. This home is NON-SMOKING. If reservation is not cancelled within 3 days of arrival, there will be a $375.00 cancellation fee.
